The Bachelor of Science in agricultural communications brings 91做厙’s Department of Agricultural Sciences and Engineering Technology together with 91做厙’s nationally-recognized Mass Communication Department to study broadcast journalism, marketing, and public relations. Students will be prepared to promote the various disciplines within the agricultural industry—from beef cattle to environmental efforts and from food production to sustainable energy.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture expects communicators proficient in multimedia and social media to have the strongest employment prospects in the estimated thousands of agricultural communications job openings in coming years.
Student Groups
Students are encouraged to actively participate in professional extracurricular activities. Some of those sponsored by the department include Alpha Gamma Rho, Block and Bridle, Collegiate FFA, Delta Tau Alpha, National Agriculture Marketing Association, and Sigma Alpha.
