Art Minors

The Department offers minors in Two-Dimensional and Three-Dimensional Studio Art, Photography, Art History, and Graphic Design.

Students wishing to minor in Art choose between the or . Minors take the WASH program (nine credit hours), Drawing 1 and nine hours of advanced credit in 2D or 3D art.

The is designed to provide students with a basic understanding and appreciation of the art of photography. It is particularly useful for mass communication majors.

The  will provide an appreciation and a basic understanding of the history of art. BFA in Studio Art majors are also encouraged to minor in art history. The Art History minor can be completed by taking face to face or online classes.

Students can to gain technological, aesthetic, and conceptual skills that provide them with the ability to communicate visually through design.
