Once your application through Acceptd has been processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with additional details about your audition and interview. You do not need to have applied to or been accepted by the University before auditioning and interviewing. This process will also serve as your scholarship audition, so there is no need for a separate scholarship audition.

AUDITION & INTERVIEW MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS

When submitting your materials, be prepared to provide:

Live Audition & Interview Requirements:

For live auditions, please prepare the following:

  • A resume listing your production experience and work.

  • Be ready to present two of the following:

    1. A one-minute memorized monologue from a play
    2. A stage management production book or paperwork
    3. Dramaturgical research for a play or musical
    4. A highlight of your best design or technical work
    5. A theatrical research paper you’ve written
    6. An original play or scene you’ve written

  • You will also participate in an interview, where you’ll discuss your creative process, achievements, and what you’ve learned from your past projects.

Recorded Audition & Interview Requirements:

When submitting your recorded audition and interview materials, please provide the following:

  • A resume listing your production experience and work.

  • A two-minute max video showcasing at least two of the following:

    1. A one-minute memorized monologue from a play
    2. A stage management production book or paperwork
    3. Dramaturgical research for a play or musical
    4. A highlight of your best design or technical work
    5. A theatrical research paper you have written
    6. An original play or scene you’ve written

  • A portfolio submission featuring any of the following (you may include materials already presented in your video):

    1. Stage management paperwork
    2. Dramaturgical research
    3. Design portfolio
    4. Technical theatre portfolio
    5. Theatrical research paper
    6. An original play or scene you’ve written

DEPARTMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Our department offers a variety of scholarships for incoming students. Your audition and interview for the Theatre & Musical Theatre program will also serve as your scholarship audition, so you do not need to participate in the separate Theatre scholarship audition process. To be considered for a department scholarship, please fill out an application at . Departmental scholarship recipients will be notified via email by May 1.

UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

We encourage you to apply for University scholarships! 

To be eligible for any scholarship at 91做厙, you must complete the  application. Keep in mind that a new application must be submitted each year. The application opens in September, with a priority date of November 1st.
