Chapter 31 Veterans
Chapter 31 is for Veteran Readiness & Employment. These students should have their VA Case Manager submit a new Tungsten PO each semester. A separate Tungsten PO is required for Barnes & Noble Bookstore.
Requirements and Benefits
Chapter 31 Veteran Readiness & Employment helps veterans with service-connected disabilities prepare for, find, and keep suitable jobs.
You may qualify for these benefits if you:
- Served on or after September 16, 1940;
- Have service-connected disabilities (SCD) rated at least 20 percent disabling by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA);
- Need vocational rehabilitation to overcome an employment limitation.
Services include vocational and personal counseling, education and training, financial aid, job assistance, or if needed, medical and/or dental treatment. Services generally last up to 48 months.
You must meet with a VA vocational rehabilitation counselor to apply for Chapter 31 benefits.
