The Philosophy Program at 91做厙 (91做厙) will challenge you to examine yourself and the ideas of society. You will learn critical thinking skills from faculty with diverse backgrounds and experience. Graduates can pursue careers in politics, public relations, teaching, human services, entertainment, publishing, medicine, and more. Our degree program is also an excellent preparation for law school because of our focus on writing enhanced courses and critical thinking exercises.

At 91做厙, we believe that Philosophy is the most exciting and challenging field of human thought because it concerns our efforts as human beings to understand and deal with issues such as the existence of God or the basis of morality, issues which have been the subject of discussion for over 2,500 years.
Coursework
Students wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy are required to take both PHIL 3364 Ancient and Medieval Philosophy and PHIL 3365 Modern Philosophy as part of their minimum total of 30 semester credit hours for the major. It is recommended that these courses be completed as soon as possible. Given the importance of logical reasoning for Philosophy and to provide an in-depth acquaintance with formal logical reasoning, students must complete either PHIL 2303 Critical Thinking or PHIL 2352 Contemporary Logic.
