The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering Technology teaches students to use engineering and business management principles toward problem-solving and technical innovations in the agriculture, environmental protection, and related industries. The purpose of the agricultural engineering technology curriculum is to provide an educational experience based on the fundamentals of engineering principles, practices, and industry-related skill sets. Theory-based lectures and experiential learning activities will engage students and proved them with real-world experiences.

While many options exist, popular minors paired with the agricultural engineering technology major include, the Agricultural Business, Plant and Soil Science, Animal Science, Construction Management, Industrial Safety and General Business. Additionally, agricultural education teaching and Power Machinery Management concentrations are also popular options. Students may also engage in industry-based internships.

Student Groups

Students are encouraged to actively participate in professional extracurricular activities. Some of those sponsored by the department include Agricultural Engineering Technology Club, Agricultural Business Club, Collegiate FFA, Collegiate Farm Bureau, Delta Tau Alpha, National Agriculture Marketing Association, and Rodeo Club.
