The Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from 91做厙 covers scientific principles, management, and production technologies that are combined with the business aspects of the animal industry.

While many options exist, popular minors paired with the Animal Science major include Equine Science, Wildlife Management, Conservation Biology, Plant and Soil Sciences, Agricultural Business or a concentration in Pre-Veterinary Medicine or Animal Care and Welfare. Additionally, the agricultural education teaching option is popular among students.

Student Groups

Students are encouraged to actively participate in professional extracurricular activities. Some of those sponsored by the department include Beef Cattle Show Team, Block and Bridle, Wildlife Society, Collegiate FFA, Collegiate Farm Bureau, Delta Tau Alpha, Horse Judging Team, Livestock Judging Team, Pre-Vet Society, Ranch Horse Team, and Rodeo Club.
