Here at Sam the NSBE is a community of black engineering and technology students
that have come together to collaborate, inspire, and forge a bond that exceeds far
beyond our time here at this university.

Description
The KatatroniX Club is both professional and social. Club members work to inspire and intrigue fellow students and younger generations to participate in robotics. The organization invites any student from 91做厙 that has a passion for robotics. As a STEM/STEAM 91做厙 student, this association provides you with an opportunity to develop your robotics skills and experience in the competitive environment. There is no major requirement for prospective KatatroniX members!
Membership
Membership is open to any student at 91做厙 that has a passion for the robotics STEM/STEAM field. Dues are annual to help fund all of the community outreach programs. KatatroniX dues are 10 dollars annually.

RCEA is open to any 91做厙 student who is interested in promoting
the advances in renewable and clean energy technologies. The Renewable and Clean Energy
Association endeavors to support, learn, and spread information on new clean and efficient
energy technology.
Come join us as we discuss new technology, hear from speakers in the field, enjoy free food and drink, work on projects, and plan outings to events about clean energy.
Membership dues: $20

Description
The Sam Houston Construction Association (SHCA) was created in 2007 to provide a student chapter of the Association of General Contractors of America (AGC).
The goal of this organization is to provide a professional environment in which students can engage with other students of similar interest. The organization provides networking opportunities by having industry professional speakers and encouraging Career fair participation. Our organization strives to give our members a deep understanding of the field while actively participating in our community through service projects. This organization provides students the opportunity of growth at a professional level.

The Society of Women for Excellence in Engineering and Technology (SWEET) is a coed organization that is both professional and social. Student members work to inspire young women and children to pursue degrees in the field of engineering. The organization invites any student from Sam Houston State University that is majoring or minoring in the STEM/STEAM degree areas. As a STEM/STEAM 91做厙 student, this association provides you with an opportunity to develop your professional contacts. You will gain a better insight into what the career you have selected is all about.

Membership is open to any student at 91做厙 that is majoring or minoring in a STEM/STEAM field. Dues are annual to help fund all of the community outreach programs. Currently SWEET is in the progress of becoming an officially recognized collegiate chapter of the Society of Women for Engineering.
Membership fee: Not collecting membership fees at this time.

Students have the option of joining individually for $20.00. Upon graduation, students are encouraged to join the professional membership or Society of Women for Engineering.
Many student-affiliated groups have been successful in holding joint meetings with personnel from the Industry, University and SWEET membership offers outstanding value! Meetings are usually the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month. Your membership includes:

Organization Purpose/Mission
The purpose of the Virtual Reality Club is to work as a team to understand and further the capabilities of Virtual and Augmented Reality Applications. We do so by utilizing Game Development Engines such as Unity! We occasionally host events and gaming tournaments.
