Purpose. The committee reviews the credentials of candidates for the 91做厙 Non-Tenure Track Teaching Excellence Award, the Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award, the TSUS Regents' Teacher Award, and the Minnie Stevens' Piper Professor Award, and makes the appropriate recommendations.
Member Appointments. The President makes all appointments from University Faculty Senate nominations. The committee consists of nine faculty members, including one representative from each of the eight colleges and one representative from the Newton Gresham Library (NGL). Faculty members will serve three-year rotating terms, with three members rotating off at the end of each fiscal year.
Chair Appointment. The Chair will serve a one-year term ending August 31.
Chair-Elect Appointment. The Chair-Elect is elected by the committee members and will serve a one-year term ending August 31, serving the following year as Chair. (Note: When elected, the Chair-Elect must have at least two years remaining on the committee.)
